Northern Michigan Family Reunion Rental that Sleeps 56

Spend time in nature with your family at Sleeping Bear Resort! We are a popular Northern Michigan family reunion destination for groups of up to 56 people. The resort has a beautiful private beach, kayaks, canoes, fishing boats, and a large water trampoline (weather permitting), all available for our guests at no extra charge. We are located in Lake Ann, Michigan, 15 miles west of Traverse City and 15 miles east of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. This makes our resort the perfect hub for exploring family-friendly activities like Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Crystal Mountain, and the Leelanau Peninsula. Planning Your Family Reunion at Sleeping Bear Resort

  • Step One

    Determine the total number of family/group members, including children.

  • Step Two

    Call Stephanie at 231-642-7000 for available dates.

  • Step Three

    Fill out our Family Reunion/Retreat Planning Worksheet

  • Step Four

    Determine whether available dates and resort configuration will work for your family/group

  • Step Five

    Call Stephanie at 231-642-7000 to make a reservation – We will hold reservations for 1 to 7 days, depending on how far in advance your event is scheduled.

  • Step Six

    Make your deposit equal to the first night’s rent plus tax.

  • Step Seven

    Complete and send us the Cabin Assignment Worksheet.

  • Step Eight

    Sleeping Bear Resort will email a Reservation Agreement to the appropriate person(s) for each of the units reserved.

Group Payment Options

Option 1

One family/group member pays for everything.

Option 2

Individual family/group members make their own payments.

Option 3

Family/Group members sharing the Lodge or Bear’s Den cost can make partial payments via our Payment Link (must have reservation #).

  • Lower Level – Full over Full- Bunk Bed is located in the lower level meeting space
  • 2 Bathrooms (Main floor & Upstairs)

Bear’s Den

  • Master Bedroom – 1 King bed with private bathroom
  • Bedroom 2 – 1 Queen bed with deck overlooking Herendeene Lake
  • Bedroom 3 – 2 Double beds
  • Bedroom 4 – 1 Full bed and a Full over Full bunk bed
  • Bedroom 5 – 2 Double beds
  • Bedroom 6 – 1 Queen bed and a deck overlooking Herendeene Lake
  • 2 Bathrooms (Main floor & 1 upstairs)
