This stunning hand hewn log home with its covered wraparound porch and spectacular view of the peaceful and serene Herendeene Lake is the setting for your quintessential Northern Michigan vacation.
“The Lodge” is located exactly halfway between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It is in the perfect location for vacationers interested in exploring the Dunes, Traverse City, the M22 Scenic Drive, the charming little villages and many wineries of the Leelanau Peninsula, and the shores of Lake Michigan.
The Lodge is filled with log beds, hand made custom cabinetry and furniture, carvings created by local artisans and is decorated with unique local artifacts that make this home truly one-of-a-kind.
While staying at The Lodge, you can enjoy fishing for bass and bluegill, swimming and enjoying the beach, enjoying our large water trampoline, kayaking, paddle boating or trying your skills at stand-up paddle boarding. All the watercraft is available at no charge to our guests.
…or just relax on the covered porch with your morning coffee and enjoy watching and listening to the loons and watching the eagles fish for their breakfast.
The Lodge has 5 bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people.

Reservations for more than 8 adults can not be made online. There is a $40/night/person fee for reservations with more than 8 adults.
